Autumn hasn\u2019t arrived yet, and the leaves are still green. All but one\u2014dry, brown, lifeless. \u201cPoor tree, it\u2019s dead.\u201d I think. But it\u2019s not. A single rebellious twig rises, vividly green. As if defying the death that surrounds it, revealing a hidden strength that refuses to surrender.
